Whew, it's been a while, hasn't it? Well have we got some news for you...

First things first - our first annual Summer Workshop Series was a huge success! We workshopped three brand new works by New York City-based up-and-coming playwrights, Dennis X. Tseng (a fellow Turtle), Rami Metal and Leah Hendrick. From board meetings in Hell to bouncing, Betty-loving bubbles, pickled gorgon to talking fruit, these three works (and our workshop productions of them) truly represent Thirsty Turtle's mission and we were so happy to work on them. So happy, in fact, that you just might see one of them up on its feet soon enough. Stay tuned!

Next - we went ahead and made it official, TTP now has full, non-profit status under the umbrella of Fractured Atlas, a nonprofit organization that provides services and support to artists and arts organizations. Read more about Fractured Atlas at www.fracturedatlas.org. Of course, we've had honorary nonprofit benefits since our inception in 2003, but now we can flash our status whenever we want. So there.

And coming up - TTP is excited to be in the planning stages of our next big project - but our lips (or beak?) are sealed until we can iron out the details. Let's just say, Rome wasn't built in a day, but a really good play might be... Also, we're planning our next big fundraiser, which is certain to be a delight.
